When a marriage reaches a legal dispute
Separation, divorce petitions, maintenance and custody disputes are among the most stressful experiences a family can go through. Emotions run high, communication often breaks down completely, and decisions made in anger can have long-term consequences — especially for children.
Dr. Rabya Umman is a Panel Member & Marital Therapist at the Delhi High Court and has worked with couples and families in mediation, so she understands both the emotional and the real-world stakes of a marital dispute. This consultation gives you a calm, neutral and confidential space to understand what is happening, explore whether reconciliation is possible, and — if separation is the outcome — to move through it with less harm to everyone involved.

Our process
- Safe & confidential first contact — One or both partners can reach out. Nothing is disclosed to families without consent.
- Joint or individual consultation — A neutral space for each person to be heard, together or separately.
- Understanding the issues — The conflict cycle, expectations, family influences, children’s needs and any individual concerns such as anxiety, depression or addiction.
- Clear plan — Reconciliation therapy, mediation-oriented sessions, separation counselling or child support — whichever fits your situation.
- Follow-up — Planned sessions to support the family through hearings, transitions and new arrangements.
Please note: Mind Detox Centre provides psychological consultation and therapy, not legal advice or legal representation.
